Propulsion
The Joy-Bike is propelled by pushing a lever, using the back as support. Tricycles designed for paraplegic youngsters are normally driven turning a handle, which does not make best use of the arm muscles.
Reverse gearlever
A side lever enables reversing should the child notice some obstacle, making it less dependent on outside help.
Steering
Steering does not interfere with the propulsion movement and is applied to the two front wheels for smoother running.
Folding
It can be folded down into a volume for easy transport in compact car trunks.
Transfer and safety
The seat is at the height of average wheelchairs, its side access is free and the steering rod can be moved down and forward. The brakes are locked during transfer. When using the product, the child is secured to the tricycle by a safety belt and footrest.
